When I was a little girl I loved going to weddings and bringing back home the wedding favors. For those who don’t know me I was born and raised in France and the traditional favors for weddings or baptisms are the dragées and I love those ever since. The dragées come in different colors such as white, blue, pink and even red or green. They are made with almonds or chocolate for a nut free option and although the favor was the same the package was always pretty, different & customized depending on the wedding theme.
Wedding favors can act as a souvenir of your special day and there are endless options!
Here are 4 tips on how to pick the wedding favors
Edible: Who does not like to bring back home something to eat ? I know I do! You can pick something sweet or savory : donuts, cupcake, pop corn, chocolates, coffee beans, tea, sauce, olive oil etc.,
Useful: Depending on the season the wedding takes place you can give your guests a blanket/ scarf, mittens, sleepers in winter or a hat, sunglasses, flip flops in summer. Something useful at home is also a great idea such as a wine opener, matches etc..
To display at home : candles, a plant to grow love etc.
In lieu of favors : You can donate and give to a cause close to your heart and tell your guests.
What I love about wedding favors is that there are endless options and you can have them customized depending on your wedding theme, venue, color palette and you can also DIY them if you have the time and energy.
